Generate enough project support from the Modesto community and Del Rio residents to assist with respective Board approvals. Educate Del Rio neighborhood about the features and benefits of the McHenry Solar Farm. Promptly respond to public and neighborhood inquires or concerns. Coordinate public and neighborhood outreach meetings. Assist with advocacy and coalition building. Work with local media to deliver key project messages.

Alleviate negative X-Fest image and criticism being portrayed by media outlets.

Solution:
Work with local media to build trust and credibility by presenting the "entire" X-Fest picture. Produce media releases focusing on X-Fest's huge economic impact to the local community, stringent security measures and extensive safety precautions. Offer media tours during specific times of the event so allowing television news media the opportunity to capture footage "inside" the event rather than focusing on negative activity. Developed "X-Fest King & Queen Contest" co-promotion with local newspaper to strengthen event credibility while building hype and buzz leading up to show.
